Admission procedure for BA LL.B. (Hons.) & BBA LL.B. (Hons.) Academic Year 2015-2016

>	·         Please read and understand the instructions before you proceed for registration.
>	·         It is mandatory to appear for SET (Symbiosis Entrance Test) as a precondition for admission to SLS, Pune.
>	·         The candidate seeking admission to Symbiosis Law School, Pune should adopt the following procedure:
	a)	1.    The applicant must complete the “SET Registration process” online for Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET). For details, please visit www.set-test.org
	b)	1.    He/she must pay Rs.  1500/- as SET Registration Fee. For mode of payment, please visit www.set-test.org
	c)	1.    He/she must complete the “Institution Registration Process” online for SLS, Pune through an online form available at www.symlaw.ac.in
	d)	1.    This should be followed by payment of Rs. 1000/- as SLS, Pune PI-WAT Fee.
Please note that missing on any of the above mentioned points will disqualify the candidate from being shortlisted for Personal Interview and Writing Ability Test (PI-WAT).
>	Mode of payment:
	1.	Online Payment: Payment can be made using Credit Card or via Net Banking. It can be done simultaneously for SET Registration and SLS, Pune, within the prohibited date.
		Or
	2.	Demand Draft in favour of 'Director, Symbiosis Law School, Pune" payable at Pune, to be sent to Symbiosis Law School, Pune, within the prescribed date. (Please note the specific date)
	3.	In case, the payment is made by Demand Draft, please mention your Name, SET ID and contact number on the back side of the Demand Draft.

ELIGIBILITY:
For B.A, LL.B (Hons.), B.B.A, LL.B (Hons.) 

Qualification:The candidate should have passed XII (10+2) examination from any recognized Board with minimum 45% marks (40% for S.C. /S.T. candidates). Students who have appeared for their Standard XII final examination and awaiting results are also eligible to apply, subject to submission of passing certificate at the time of the final admission.
Candidate who have qualified std XII through distance learning are not eligible. 

INTAKE:

The total intake is 300 seats [Inclusive of 120 seats of B.B.A, LL.B (Hons.) and 180 seats of B.A, LL.B (Hons.)

Separate Merit Lists for B.B.A, LL.B (Hons.) and B.A, LL.B (Hons.) programmes will be prepared and published. At the time of SET registration, it shall be mandatory for the candidates to clearly indicate the programme to which they wish to apply (i.e. only one out of the above-mentioned programmes). No request for change of Programme will be entertained at any stage.

Note:It is suggested that those candidates who have studied arts/social sciences subjects for their qualifying examination may apply for B.A, LL.B (Hons.) programme. Similarly, those candidates who have studied commerce/accounts/mathematics may apply for B.B.A, LL.B (Hons.) programme. The Candidates are free to make their own choice depending on their ability, interest & opportunity. Please note that these two programmes differ only in First Degree subject (either Humanities OR Business Courses) whereas the same Law courses are offered to both the programmes. Graduates in both streams are eligible for diverse legal career & opportunities including Corporate, Lawyering, Civil Services, Advocacy, Judiciary, Academic, International Organization Jobs, International Admissions etc. 

FEE STRUCTURE FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2015 - 16 :
Rs. 2,35000/- (Includes Library Deposit Rs.: 10,000/-).

Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET) is a common written test for the admission processes of undergraduate Institutes of Symbiosis International University established as under Section 3 of the UGC Act 1956 vide notification No.F.9.12/2001 U.3 of the Govt. of India. In the year 2002 there were 3 constituent Institutes of SIU. Subsequently ten more Institutes of Symbiosis have been brought under the ambit of Symbiosis International University vide notification No.F.9.12/2006-U.3 (A).

It is a mandatory written test for the admission process for the undergraduate programmes of the following Symbiosis Institutes namely:-

Symbiosis Law School [SLS] - Pune
Symbiosis Law School [SLS] - NOIDA
Symbiosis Centre for Management Studies [SCMS] - Pune
Symbiosis Centre for Management Studies [SCMS] - NOIDA
Symbiosis Institute of Design [SID]
Symbiosis Institute of Computers Studies and Research [SICSR]
Symbiosis Institute of Media & Communication (Under Graduate) [SIMC-UG]
Symbiosis School of Economics [SSE]
Symbiosis School for Liberal Arts [SSLA]
Symbiosis Law School [SLS] - Hyderabad

Symbiosis Institute of Technology (SIT) also admits students through JEE Main conducted at National level

However,the SET is not mandatory for:

Symbiosis School for Liberal Arts (SSLA) :- [For International Baccalaureate (IB) students are exempt from SET]
Note: Candidates who are applying to Symbiosis Institute of Technology (SIT) and Symbiosis Institute of Health Sciences (SIHS), Symbiosis School of Nursing (SCON), Symbiosis School for Liberal Arts (SSLA) [for IB students only] and Symbiosis School of Photography (SSP) should visit their websites for further details.

Candidate should note that SET is only the first step. Each Symbiosis Institute has its independent selection process.

TEST STRUCTURE

A. Duration: SET duration is 150 minutes.
B. SET is an objective test.
C. Papers: SET is conducted in two sessions for FIVE question papers. A candidate may apply to take one paper from each session.
D. Institutes: The constituent Institutes use scores of the following for admission.

SET is an aptitude test and objective in nature for all the papers. Each question has four options as answers. There is no negative marking for wrong answers. All sections are mandatory.
