All India Law Entrance Test (AILET)
About AILET 2015
The AILET (All India Law Entrance Test) is
conducted by the NLU (National Law University), Delhi for admission into the
under graduate level law programme - B.A., LL.B (Honors), which is a five-year
integrated programme.
Eligibility
Senior Secondary School Examination (10+2
System) or Equivalent Examination with 50% of marks. The candidates appearing
in the 12th standard examination in March/April, 2014 can also apply. Age:
Below 21 years as on 1 July, 2014 (23 years in case of SC/ST candidates).

Application Fees
General Candidates will have to remit an
application fee of Rupees Three Thousand Only (Rs. 3000/- only) for AILET 2015
Online Application Form and those from the Reserved Category will have to remit
Rupees One Thousand Only (Rs. 1000/- only). AILET 2015 Application Fees shall
be submitted through either of the modes, offline and online. However the BPL candidates
hailing from SC/ST families shall be exempted from AILET 2015 Application Fees.
Admit Card
AILET 2015 Admit
Card will be sent by speed post at the postal address to be provided by
the candidates during AILET 2015 application process. AILET 2015 Admit
Card will be dispatched by National Law University (NLU) from second week
of April 2015.In case if any candidate shall not receive NLU Delhi AILET
2015 Admit Card by last week of April 2015, at his/her postal address,
he/she may download the duplicate AILET Admit Card from this page.
If any candidate is having any problem in downloading the duplicate Admit Card, he/she may contact NLU Office, on any working day from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm tentatively after third week of April 2015 with his/her photograph.

Candidates may note that in any case, no candidate will not allowed to appear for NLU Delhi AILET 2015 without a valid AILET 2015 Admit Card or a duplicate AILET 2015 Admit Card with an Identity Proof.

The qualifying candidates who shall have their
names in AILET 2015 Merit list as per the Results of AILET 2015 shall
be called in for spot counselling tentatively in the fourth week of
June 2015. The list of the candidates who will be called in for spot
counselling shall be uploaded by NLU, Delhi tentatively by second week of

The meritorious candidates would require to verify the necessary documents
including academic certificates, proof of residence, birth certificate, etc.

The National Law University
(NLU), Delhi has announced admissions open to 5 years Bachelor of Arts-Bachelor
of Law (B.A-LL.B) Hons., 1 year Master of Law (LL.M) programs and PhD programs.
The university has invited applications from eligible candidates for the same
to enroll them for the academic session 2015-16, which is starting from August
2015. The interested candidates may apply before the last date.

Eligibility Criteria:
B.A.-LL.B (Hons) Program:
The applying candidates should
have cleared their senior secondary school examination i.e. 10+2 or its
equivalent examination with at least 50% marks. The candidates who are
appearing for the 12th standard examination in March/April, 2015 are also
eligible to apply.
LL.M Program:
The candidates applying for
this course should have the degree of LL.B or its equivalent a minimum of with
55% marks (50% in case of SC/ST/ persons with disability). The candidates who
are going to appear for final LL.B examination in April/May, 2015 are also
eligible to apply.
PhD Program:
The candidates applying for PhD
programs must have cleared their LL.M. Degree with a minimum of 55% marks or
its equivalent degree from a recognized university or institute. In case of
SC/ST/ Persons with Disability the minimum marks obtained must be 50% .
Age Limit:
B.A.-LL.B (Hons) Program: The
age of the candidate applying for this course must be below 21 years as on July
01, 2015 (23 years in case of SC/ST candidates).
Selection Procedure:
The candidates would be
selected on the basis of their performance in the All India Law Entrance Test
(AILET) conducted by the university.
How to Apply:
The interested and eligible
candidates have to apply through online mode only for admissions to the courses
mentioned above that are offered by the National University of Law. The
applying candidates need to submit an application fee of Rs. 3, 000/- in case
of general category candidates, Rs.1, 000/- in case of SC/ST and Persons with
Disability (PD) excluding service charges along with a copy of requisite
caste/person with disability certificate before the last date for submission of
application forms.

Out of 70 seats through AILET for BA LLB programme, 52 seats are reserved for General category candidates, 11 for Scheduled Caste category, 5 for Scheduled Tribe and 2 for Persons with Disabilities and 1 for Kashmiri Migrant categories.
AILET 2015 was an hour and 30 minutes (90 minutes) exam
comprising 150 Objective-type questions (MCQs) of 150 marks covering five
sections including English, General Knowledge & Current affairs, History,
Geography, General Science, Economics, Civics, Legal Aptitude, Reasoning and
Elementary Mathematics with numerical ability.
Each question carried 1 mark and for every wrong answer, there was no negative marking as informed in AILET 2015 Question Booklet. Candidates needed to choose an option among the given in any question. If any question was responded with more than more than one option, it’ll has been regarded as wrong even though one of the options marked was correct and no marks will be awarded to the very question.
According to NLU Delhi officials, 14755 candidates had appeared
for AILET 2015 while in 2014, a total of 14207 candidates took the
exam.
National Law University, Delhi had announced the marks of 14755 test takers of AILET 2015 on May 18 and the final selection list on the basis of AILET 2015 scores for BA LLB programmes. The highest marks obtained is 118 and the lowest marks scored is 0. Last year, the highest marks obtained was 117 while the least marks secured was 3.
Out of 71 seats through AILET for BA LLB programme, 52 seats were reserved for General category candidates, 11 for Scheduled Caste category, 5 for Scheduled Tribe and 2 for Persons with Disabilities and 1 for Kashmiri Migrant categories.
